Why tapestries

 An image painted or woven, a photo or a woven tapstry from a photo, either way, something magic happens in the translation, a transformation. The yarns lend a depth, a richness to the surface and the tapestry warms the interior in a way a painting or photo can't.  

 I design and weave tapestries for public and private spaces and have executed commissioned works for the Washington State Arts Commission and the Air Force Academy Catholic Chapel and others  noted in the Commissions section. In the Tapestry Gallery are pieces which are for sale and those which are not. The latter are denoted by NFS or Private Commission after the title of the piece.
